Ring
This is a long-exposure photo that shows a part of a ring that encircles the earth. A custom web application was used to create the ring around the earth. And the app can also show if the ring is drawn over the current location or not. You can create a ring by touching two points on the map of the web application. And one point dragging sets the width of the line. Below is information of the ring used to take the photo.
Point A: 37°26’13.1758” N, 126°55’15.481” E
Point B: 37°26’6.2754” N, 126°55’15.423” E
Line Width: 29.6m
‘Play’ button makes the web application figure out whether the device is in or out of the ring. If it is inside, the device displays white, otherwise it displays dark gray to full screen. A person with a tablet PC walked across the ring and the other took the long-exposure photo. Hazy lines on both end sides of the bright line was drawn when the device was out of the ring.
The above image is the screen of the web application.
